Dominique Strauss-Kahn biography
A French national, Mr. Strauss-Kahn was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, on April 25, 1949 and spent his early years in Morocco.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn assumed office as the tenth Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund on November 1, 2007. In 2000 and 2001, he taught economics at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and was named visiting professor at Stanford University. He was also a personal advisor to the Secretary General of the OECD.
Earlier, Mr. Strauss-Kahn served as Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry of France from June 1997 to November 1999. In this capacity, he managed the launch of the Euro. He also represented France on the Board of Governors of a number of international financial institutions, including the IMF.

Event
15 May 2011. New York.
Sofitel Hotel. 1:00 pm. Dominique Strauss-Kahn sex attack on a maid.
Kennedy Airport. 4:45 pm. NYPD officers arrest DSK.
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the head of the International Monetary Fund and the man French Socialists hope will be the next occupant of the Elysée Palace, was arrested at JFK airport in New York on Saturday afternoon accused of a sex attack on a Times Square hotel maid earlier in the day.
He was taken off an Air France flight by officers from the Port Authority of New York and turned over to Manhattan police, according to a spokesman from the agency. Plainclothes officers boarded the flight at 4.45pm, moments before take-off, and took the 62-year-old out of the first-class cabin and into custody. He had been due to meet German chancellor Angela Merkel on Sunday.
"It was 10 minutes before its scheduled departure," said John Kelly, a Port Authority spokesman.
The 32-year-old woman told police that she entered Strauss-Kahn's room at about 1pm on Saturday and he emerged from the bedroom naked, threw her down and tried to sexually assault her, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said. She broke free and escaped the room and told hotel staff what had happened who called the police.
When New York City police detectives arrived moments later, Strauss-Kahn had already left the hotel, leaving behind his mobile phone and other personal items. "It looked like he got out of there in a hurry," Browne added.
Strauss-Khan was being questioned on Saturday night by the NYPD special victims office. No charges have yet been filed.
Rumours of dangerous liaisons and sexual conquests have had little effect on Strauss-Kahn's chances of occupying the highest office in France, but last night's arrest may alter his future ambitions. Strauss-Kahn was expected to throw his hat into the election ring within weeks. He has been fighting off a very French furore over assertions his tastes are too luxurious to lay claim to the political left.
The victim was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, where she was being treated for trauma.
Astrology analyze
Dominique Strauss-Kahn, born on 25 April 1949 at 11:10, Neuilly-sur-Seine, France has the following natal chart according to astrodata - bank:
Rodden Rating AA
Whole Sign Houses

We can see that Dominique Strauss-Kahn has strong signs for success:
- the Sun (ruler of the Ascendant) is in the 10th house;
- Venus, the ruler of the Sun, is in the 10th house, in domicile and in conjunction with the Sun! A very powerful position which brings not only a great career and good relations, but also a person fond of pleasures, money and great interest for women (as he is known);
Another important aspect which links 3 other planets is:
- Moon at 3 degree in Aries in conjunction with Mars at 26 degree in Aries (ruler of the Moon) in opposition with Neptune at 13 degrees in Libra! It seems strange that I link those three planets which have great orbs, but I have some arguments: Moon and Mars are in the same sign, Mars is the ruler of the Moon and is in domicile (very powerful) and Neptune is in a very close opposition with the midpoint between Moon and Mars which is at 15 degrees in Aries (an orb of half a degree)! Anyway the implication of Neptune in this affair can bring confusion, illusion, inappropriate feelings, misinterpretation of situations, to be fooled, to act on a reason which is not real, to run for fake objectives like a bull in a corrida (Spanish bullfighting);
- the Moon and Mars in Aries show courage, physical energy, a strong and direct attitude, but also intense desires, impulsivity, the need to control, command and dominate the family and other close people;
- the Moon is also in conjunction with Lilith which can bring problems with morality, temptations, inappropriate sexual desires.
Now that we have those 2 points very clear expressed: that he loves life, women, money, pleasures and that he can be rather aggressive, dominating person with moments of confusion we can now try to understand what happened on 14 May 2011. We can see in the chart below the transits (exterior chart) for Saturday 14 May 2011 applied to Dominique Strauss-Kahn chart (interior chart):
The important transits for our analyze are:
a) Mars in conjunction with the natal Sun: conflict, social life problems, too much courage, aggression, strong desires;
b) Jupiter, Mercury and Venus in conjunction with natal Mars: desires, initiative, courage, "opportunities", to believe/to act like you have right and everybody agrees with you, overall an "inflated" Mars which gave that aggressive behaviour;
c) Uranus and Lilith in conjunction with natal Moon. I think that is the weakest position because:
- the natal position of the Moon is not too good being in the sign of Mars, the ruler of the 12th house and with the aspects we saw earlier;
- the transit of Lilith activates a natal predisposition, because the natal Moon is in conjunction with Lilith;
- Uranus with the Moon is a pretty bad aspect and can bring: sudden changes, emotional turmoil, incidents involving women and family, emotional impulsiveness, problems at home, strange/sudden changes of mood and other kind of "surprises" related with family, women, home. When we talk about a public person, the Moon also represent the popularity.
d) Saturn at 11 degree Libra is in conjunction with Neptune and in opposition with the midpoint Moon/Mars putting pressure on the aspect between Moon/Mars/Neptune. So, after a licentious Moon and an over confident Mars which act in an undisciplined manner, now we see that Saturn in Libra in aspect with that position bring order or a situation where he needs to respond to law, to respond for his acts, to confront his desires with the reality. I think it describes very well what happened.
e) Moon at 15 degree in Libra in the time when the aggression happened shows that we are analyzing the right aspects on the chart. It is exactly in opposition with the midpoint between natal Moon and Mars (15 Aries), in conjunction with natal Neptune and Saturn in transit.
f) Pluto at 7 degree in Capricorn is another planet which makes a bad aspect with the whole configuration and can bring a fall from position.
Conclusion. This is an example of how astrology works, because the whole story can be seen pretty easily in my opinion from the transits. Uranus and Lilith on the Moon, Mars on the Sun, Saturn on Neptune in opposition with Moon/Mars midpoint, Pluto square Moon, all play their role and describe a moment when the natal position of Mars, Moon, Neptune and Lilith showed her weakness.
